Code 3 Celebrates 10th Anniversary of Metropolitan Police’s Gun Recovery Unit

October 11, 2017 (Washington, DC) – Today, more than 100 guests attended an awards ceremony hosted by Code 3 celebrating the accomplishments of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Gun Recovery Unit (GRU) over the past decade.

At the event, DC Police Chief Peter Newsham presented the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation with the Outstanding Citizenship Award in recognition of the Foundation’s overwhelming support and continued partnership to ensure the health, safety and vitality of the Washington, DC Metropolitan region.
